VinsnowWoman Dies, 2 Children Hurt in Fresno Car Accident at Minnewawa and International Avenues
Fresno County, California (May 29, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened on Monday afternoon at an intersection in Fresno County.
The crash occurred at Minnewawa and International Avenues just east of Clovis Community College at around 4:30 p.m.
A red Mercedes was heading east on International Avenues at a high speed approaching the intersection. The driver ran the stop sign and crashed into a black Honda sedan entering the intersection from northbound of Minnewawa.
CHP said the impact pushed both vehicles into an open field.
The Honda driver was killed in the accident.
Two children sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The woman driving the Mercedes suffered minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
