Glenn County, CA – Runaway Big Rig Wheels Slam into Van, Injuring Six Women on Interstate 5 in Glenn County

Glenn County, CA – Six female friends were injured in a Monday morning traffic collision in Glenn County near Willows.

According to the Willows California Highway Patrol , the incident happened on March 23, 2026, on Interstate 5.

Reportedly, a set of dual wheels broke off a northbound big rig trailer and the wheels rolled across the center divider into oncoming traffic.

The group, traveling southbound in a van, saw the wheels coming straight at them in their lane and reported a severe impact as the wheels smashed into the side of their vehicle.

Despite the collision, the driver maintained control of the van and steered it to the shoulder.

All the six female occupants in the van suffered minor injuries.
