Boy Dies in Pima County Motorcycle Crash on Sandario Road near West Desert Wren Drive

Pima County, Arizona (June 2023) – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon in Pima County.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the fatal accident was reported at around 4 p.m. on Sandario Road near West Desert Wren Drive.

The teen was riding motorcycle heading north of Sandario Road when he was hit by a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The Chevrolet driver, 42-year-old Martin Craig, was making a left turn from southbound Sandario Road onto West Desert Wren Drive when the collision occurred.

The unidentified boy sustained major injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Craig was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.

No other information about the accident was provided.
