Carrie Walrath Identified as Woman Killed in Homeland Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74 

Homeland, California (June 14, 2023) – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has identified Carrie Walrath, 33, as the woman killed in a pedestrian accident on Monday night near Homeland.

The deadly collision happened on Highway 74 just east of Highland Palm Drive at about 9:35 p.m. on June 12.

Authorities said Walrath was walking across the highway in a southerly direction when a 2002 Ford F250 pickup hit her.

Carrie, a Homeland resident, was declared dead at the crash site.

The truck driver, a 21-year-old man from Hemet, was cooperative and did not flee the scene.

No additional information concerning this incident was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
