Victor KipchumbaTaylor Bustos Killed in Concord Accident on Highway 4
Concord, California (May 20, 2023) – The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified 31-year-old Taylor Bustos of Pittsburg as the man killed in a fatal collision on Thursday evening near Concord.
The collision happened before 5:50 p.m. on May 18 near Interstate 680.
Police said a gray Toyota Highlander SUV was heading eastbound on Highway 4 when it rear-ended a silver Toyota Camry sedan that had halted for traffic ahead. The impact caused the Camry to slam into the Gray Mazda 3 sedan that was also stopped for traffic.
Bustos, the Camry driver, was rushed to a local medical center, where he died.
The two Highlander occupants suffered minor injuries in the collision.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
