Mason Young Killed in Murrieta Car Accident at Whitewood Rd and Hellebore St

Murrieta, California (May 20, 2023) – Authorities have identified 23-year-old Mason Young as the person killed in a deadly collision on Thursday evening in Murrieta.

According to the Murrieta police, the accident happened at about 6:31 p.m. on May 19 at Whitewood Road and Hellebore Street.

Police said a sedan operated by a 17-year-old girl was turning left onto northbound Whitewood from Hellebore Street when it hit Young’s vehicle heading southbound on Whitewood.

Young suffered fatal injuries due to the collision.

Police did not believe impairment played a role in the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
