Sharon Brock Killed in Marion County Accident on 5 Freeway 

Marion County, Oregon (July 14, 2023) – 60-year-old Sharon L. Brock of Roseburg has been identified as the woman killed in a pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning in Marion County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The accident happened at about 4:40 a.m. on July 12, on northbound Interstate 5 on-ramp, exit 244.

Police said Brock was crossing the freeway when a Subaru Impreza hit her.

Brock was declared dead at the accident scene.

The Subaru driver, Noah Joseph Havlinek of Jefferson, was not hurt in the collision. He stayed at the accident location and was cooperative.

Authorities blocked the freeway for approximately four hours for an on-scene investigation.

No other details regarding this crash were released.

The incident remains under investigation.
