El Dorado County, California (March 4, 2023) – Marvin H. Buchmiller, 83, has been identified as the man who died in a Thursday afternoon car crash in El Dorado County.
The fatal collision happened at around 3:20 p.m. on Highway 50 near Ice House Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 32-year-old driver of a Ford Expedition reportedly drifted across the centerline and collided head-on with a Kia Sportage driven by Marvin.
Marvin was killed in the collision.
A 52-year-old passenger in the Kia was hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Ford was treated for minor injuries.
Officials say all the victims wore seatbelts at the time of the accident.
