P.MarkShayani2 Killed, Several Injured in Bakersfield Car Accident on Highway 99 at Hosking Avenue
Bakersfield, California (March 5, 2023) – Two people were killed in a fiery car crash early Saturday morning in South Bakersfield.
The double-fatal crash happened on Highway 99 at Hosking Avenue at around 3:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Honda passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on McKee Road when it failed to stop at the dead-end and entered the freeway, where it was hit by a Dodge pickup truck.
The Honda reportedly caught fire after the collision.
A female passenger of the Honda and a 15-year-old teenager were killed in the accident.
The female driver of the Honda and the adult occupants of the Dodge were hospitalized with severe injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
