Justin Maxwell Id’D as Roseburg Motorcycle Accident at Melrose Road

Roseburg, Oregon (August 26, 2023) – 34-year-old Justin Allen Maxwell of Roseburg has been identified as the person killed after a motorcycle collision on Thursday evening in Roseburg, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision happened at about 4:00 p.m. on August 24 in the 4800 block of Melrose Road.

Authorities confirmed Maxwell was heading west on Old Melrose Road in a 2020 Suzuki GSX motorcycle when he crashed into a 2014 Toyota. When the crash happened, The Toyota was turning left into a residential driveway.

Maxwell suffered fatal injuries due to the collision.

The vehicle driver, 69-year-old Steven Gordon Soper of Roseburg, was not hurt in the accident.

Further details regarding this incident were not released.

An investigation is ongoing.
