Jonathan McMahon Killed in Williams Motorcycle Collision on W. Route 66
Williams, Arizona (August 31, 2023) – A teenage motorcyclist was killed in a collision that took place in Williams on Tuesday morning.
According to a report by the Williams Police Department, Jonathan McMahon, 18, of Williams, died following the accident that occurred at 1733 W. Route 66 at about 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29.
McMahon was reportedly traveling west on Route 66 in a blue motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he slammed into the back of a passenger van as the van slowed down to turn left.
McMahon sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
The van’s driver was not injured and stayed at the scene. Authorities said the driver was not suspected to have been impaired.
The cause of the deadly motorcycle crash is under investigation.
