Manteca, California (June 19, 2023) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday morning in Manteca.
Police say the accident happened around 9 a.m. on West Yosemite Avenue near Fishback Road.
The man was riding his motorbike eastbound on W.Yosemite and a woman was driving an SUV heading west.
The woman tried to make a turn onto Fishback Road when she collided with a motorcycle.
The rider sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased person was not disclosed.
Impairment was not a factor in the crash, but police believe speed played a role.
