VinsnowDouglas Bland Jr. and Kimberly Layne Dies in Tucson Accident at E. Speedway Boulevard and N. Jefferson Avenue
Tucson, Arizona (July 25, 2023) – Douglas Keith Bland Jr, 40, and Kimberly Roxanne Layne, 39, were killed in a car crash on Monday morning in Tucson.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the accident was reported at around 11:30 a.m. at East Speedway Boulevard and North Jefferson Avenue.
A green Toyota was attempting to make a left turn from Speedway onto Jefferson when it collided with a Mercedes.
Bland and Layne were riding in the Toyota and were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes, an 81-year-old man, was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
TPD said neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
