Colin Thorpe Dies After Peoria Pedestrian Accident on Peoria Avenue near 99th Avenue

Peoria, Arizona (June 14, 2023) – According to the Peoria Police, Colin Thorpe, 80, was killed following a pedestrian accident on Monday afternoon in Peoria.

The collision happened at Peoria Avenue and 99th Avenue at about 2:54 p.m. on June 12.

Police said Thorpe, a Peoria resident, was trying to cross Peoria Avenue when a westbound red four-door sedan hit him.

Thorpe was declared dead at the crash site.

The sedan driver stayed at the crash site and was cooperative.

Police did not suspect impairment to have played a role in the collision.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
