Christian Leal-Coronado Dies After Phoenix Car Accident at 7th St. and Bell Rd

Phoenix, Arizona (July 29, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department officials are investigating a fatal bus collision that killed Christian Leal-Coronado, 23, on Saturday morning in Phoenix.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near 7th Street and Bell Road.

Authorities said Leal-Coronado was traveling southbound on 7th Street in his vehicle when he veered into the opposite lanes for unknown reasons and crashed into a city bus heading northbound.

Leal-Coronado was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

The bus driver was not hurt in the accident.

No passengers were riding in the bus at the time of the accident.
