At Least 1 Killed in Menifee Car Accident on 215 Freeway near Scott Road

Menifee, California (May 19, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that killed at least one individual on Thursday night in Menifee.

The collision happened at about 9:15 p.m. on May 18, on northbound Interstate 215 near Scott Road.

Police confirmed at least two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.

Responding fire officials and medics extricated one individual pinned inside one of the vehicles.

At least one person suffered fatal injuries in the collision.

No additional information concerning this collision was provided.

Authorities blocked the northbound lanes and diverted traffic off the freeway at Scott Road following the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
