Hesperia, California (October 18, 2022) – Two people were killed in a collision that happened at an intersection in Hesperia on Sunday night.

According to a statement by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Cottonwood Avenue and Sequoia Street at around 7:24 p.m.

A 2010 Subaru Outback driven by a 43-year-old male from Hesperia collided with a 2021 Honda CBR motorcycle driven by a 22-year-old male also from Hesperia.

Officials say the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Sequoia when it failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the Subaru southbound on Cottonwood.

The motorcyclist and the driver of the Subaru were killed in the accident.

A 71-year-old female passenger in the Subaru suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the cause of the accident.
