San Diego, California (October 18, 2022) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has disclosed the identities of two Los Angeles residents who were killed in a car crash last week Thursday in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 15 Freeway near the Old Highway 395 crossing at around 7:13 a.m., on October 13.
A gray Honda Civic was traveling on the freeway when it crashed into the rear of a disabled tractor-trailer parked on the right shoulder.
18-year-old Eric Alonso was driving the Honda and was transported to Palomar Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment.
Angel Fiero Morales, 18, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
