Vinsnow1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Collision on Deer Springs Road near Mesa Rock Road in San Marcos
San Marcos, California (August 24, 2023) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened in San Marcos on Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Deer Springs Road near Mesa Rock Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 23-year-old man was driving a BMW 330ci in the eastbound lane of Deer Springs Road when it drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Tacoma driven by a Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The Toyota driver was transported to the hospital with major injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
