Man Killed, Child Injured in Turlock Accident on Highway 99 near Lander Avenue

Turlock, California (June 20, 2021) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a wrong-way collision in Turlock on Tuesday morning.
The fatal accident happened on Highway 99 near Lander Avenue at about 3:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white sedan was traveling southbound on northbound lanes when it collided with a Tesla.
CHP said the sedan caught fire after the collision, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 37-year-old male driver of the second vehicle and a 6-year-old child were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
Both vehicles sustained major damages and were blocking the highway.
CHP believes that alcohol was been a factor in the crash.
