Vinsnow1 Killed, Another Injured in Cottage Grove Accident on London Road near Milepost 11
Cottage Grove, Oregon (July 12, 2023) – A driver was killed and another was seriously injured early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Cottage Grove, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal collision occurred on London Road near milepost 11 at around 3 a.m.
A white Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control for the vehicle while negotiating a curve.
The Ford drifted into opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Dodge pickup truck.
The Dodge driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
More details about the accident were not provided.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
