VinsnowDriver Hospitalized after Issaquah Car Accident on Highway 18
Issaquah, Washington (August 23, 2023) – A driver sustained major injuries following a head-on collision that happened in Issaquah on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say the accident was reported at around 6 a.m. on State Route 18.
A car reportedly crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
One person was trapped inside the car and was extricated by Eastside Fire and Rescue.
The driver had broken bones and was rushed to Harborview Hospital.
The accident resulted in the closure of the freeway between Interstate 90 and Issaquah Hobart Road.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
