Woman, 69, Killed in Poway Pedestrian Accident on Edgemoor Street at Midland Road

San Diego, California (December 3, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Poway on Saturday morning.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened at around 9 a.m. on Edgemoor Street at Midland Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 35-year-old driver turned left onto southbound Midland and struck the 69-year-old woman walking her dog in a marked crosswalk.

The woman was seriously injured and was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido where she later died.

The dog was unhurt.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
