Tashfeen Haq Killed in Victorville Car Crash on Interstate 15 near Stoddard Wells Road

Victorville, California (August 25, 2023) – The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has identified 43-year-old Tashfeen U. Haq of Riverside as the man killed in a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon in Victorville.

The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on August 20, on I-15 near north of Stoddard Wells Road.

Police confirmed a 2024 Porsche Cayenne was traveling at a high rate of speed that was unsafe for weather conditions. The motorist then lost control of their vehicle and drove across the traffic lanes onto the right shoulder before rear-ending a disabled Ford F-150.

Haq, the Porsche driver, suffered fatal injuries due to the collision.

Fire officials freed a 32-year-old female passenger riding in the Porsche and transported her to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries.

The Ford motorist, a 34-year-old man, and his passenger, a 32-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Victor Valley Hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
