Sreeja Nagirimadugu Killed in Livermore Car Accident on Altamont Pass Road

Livermore, California (November 30, 2022) – Authorities have identified Sreeja Nagirimadugu, 30, of Fremont as the woman killed in a car accident on Thursday afternoon in Livermore.

According to the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau, the accident happened at about 12:45 p.m. on November 24 on Altamont Pass Road, a mile east of the Greenville Road intersection.

Police said a Honda Civic heading eastbound on the highway was trying to pass slow traffic by crossing the solid double-yellow lines. The Honda then slammed head-on into an approaching Toyota Prius.

Responding emergency crews and medics declared Nagirimadugu dead at the accident scene. 

Nagirimadugu was reportedly riding in the Civic as a passenger. The Civic driver sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The Prius driver and their 13-year-old passenger sustained minor to moderate degree injuries. The two were hospitalized for further treatment.
