Seattle, Washington (March 23, 2023) – Riley Danard and Khalea Thoeuk, both 18 years old, were killed in a wrong-way collision early Wednesday morning in Seattle.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the accident happened around 12:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the West Seattle Bridge.

A sedan and a pickup truck were involved in a crash.

The pickup truck driver was driving recklessly and traveling the wrong way when he crashed into an oncoming sedan occupied by the teenagers.

Danard and Thoeuk were pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup driver sustained major injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the pickup driver was suspected of driving under the influence at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
