Richard Rollo Killed in San Diego Accident on 805 Freeway near Highway 52

San Diego, California (July 31, 2023) – According to the San Diego County Coroner’s Office, Richard Antony Rollo, 61, was killed following a car accident on Friday afternoon in San Diego.

The deadly collision occurred at about 12:09 p.m. on July 21 on the northbound State Route 805 Freeway near Highway 52.

Police said Rollo was heading northbound in an Acura sedan on Interstate Route 805 when a tractor-trailer rear-ended him.

The two drivers pulled over, and Rollo was exchanging information with the big rig driver when he was hit by a Ford pickup truck in the Number 1 transition lane.

Rollo died in the accident.

No additional information concerning this collision was provided.
