Sacramento, California (December 14, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Sacrament on Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Interstate 80 near the transition ramp to Interstate 5.
CHP said a big rig, a sedan and a motorcycle were involved in the crash, but the events leading up to the collision were not immediately determined.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was killed in the crash.
The accident caused the shutdown of I-80 for an unknown duration.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
