Maria Servas Killed in Irvine Accident on Irvine Boulevard and Marketplace

Orange County, California (July 24, 2023) – Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian collision that killed Maria Servas, 87, on Friday night in Irvine.
The accident occurred at Irvine Boulevard and Marketplace intersection at about 7:45 p.m. on July 21.
Authorities said Servas was heading north on Marketplace in the crosswalk when she was hit by a black Jeep Wrangler traveling west on Irvine Boulevard.
Servas was declared dead at the accident location.
The Jeep driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative.
Police confirmed the motorist was not impaired at the time.
Further details regarding the collision were not released.
The incident remains under investigation.
