Bakersfield, California (January 11, 2023) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one man was killed following a head-on crash on Tuesday night in Bakersfield.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. on January 10 at Mount Vernon Avenue and E. Belle Terrace.
Police said a car was heading southbound when it swerved across lanes and slammed head-on into another vehicle.
One of the two motorists, described as a man, was declared dead at the accident location. His name was not immediately provided.
The second driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
