VinsnowSan Jose Man Dies in San Martin Car Accident at Monterey Highway and Highland Avenue
San Martin, California (September 1, 2023) – A 48-year-old San Jose man died in a two-car crash early Thursday morning at an intersection in San Martin.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 1:12 a.m. at Monterey Highway and Highland Avenue.
A 2022 Ford F150 was traveling eastbound on Highland Avenue, while a 2023 KIA Forte was heading south on Monterey Highway.
The driver of the Ford failed to stop at a red light and the KIA slammed into its left front side.
Paramedics responded to the crash and attended to the victims before transporting them to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
The driver of the KIA succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
There were three people inside the Ford at the time of the crash, and their condition is unknown.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
