VinsnowMan Dies in Bakersfield Car Accident at Gosford Road and District Boulevard
Bakersfield, California (June 9, 2023) – A man was killed in a car crash on Thursday night in Bakersfield.
According to the Bakersfield police, the crash happened at the intersection of Gosford Road and District Boulevard at about 10:45 p.m.
A man was driving at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and collided with another vehicle at the intersection.
The speeding vehicle hit a tree in the median on Gosford Road after the collision before coming to a stop.
Police say the driver was pulled out of the car by good Samaritans who began CPR on him before the paramedics arrived.
Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The other driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Speed was suspected to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
