VinsnowKen Balayev Killed in Los Angeles Crash on 110 Freeway and Exposition Boulevard
Los Angeles, California (May 27, 2023) – Authorities have identified 71-year-old Ken Balayev of Calabasas as the person killed in a traffic collision early Friday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
The deadly collision occurred around 2:49 a.m. on May 26 on the northbound (110) Freeway and Exposition Boulevard.
Per the dispatch, a black Chevy Cruze operated by 23-year-old Samantha Molina was heading south in the northbound lanes when it crashed into an approaching taxi.
Balayev, the taxi driver, sustained fatal injuries while his passenger suffered minor injuries from the collision.
Molina and her female passenger sustained severe injuries and were hospitalized.
Police later arrested Molina due to the collision.
An investigation is underway.
