P.MarkShayaniJustin Poole and Michael Buckholt Killed in Kittitas Crash on Interstate 90
Kittitas County, Washington (March 17, 2023) – Justin Poole, 40, Michael Buckholt, 27, and a 10-year-old child from Yakima were killed in a head-on collision in Kittitas County on Thursday morning.
The Washington State Patrol said the accident was reported at around 1:45 a.m. on Interstate 90 at milepost 74 near Easton.
A semi-truck was traveling westbound when, for unknown reasons, the driver crossed over the yellow line and collided head-on with a passenger car.
Poole, Buckholt and the 10-year-old child traveling in the car were killed in the crash.
A 36-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child were taken to Kittitas Valley Hospital.
The truck driver, Danny Ellingford, 43, of Pasco, was unhurt.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
