Dixon, California (October 11, 2022) – 34-year-old Jose Jimenez was killed in a car crash that happened near an intersection in Dixon early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of Robben and Vaughn roads at around 6:56 a.m.
Jimenez, a resident of Woodland, was driving a Chevrolet westbound on Vaughn Road and the driver of the big rig was southbound on Robben Road.
The big rig reportedly broadside the sedan, pushing it through the intersection and into a nearby orchard where it overturned.
Jimenez was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the crash, according to Solano County Coroner’s office.
The big rig driver was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
