VinsnowJason Bennett Dies After Columbia County Crash on Highway 30 near Milepost 41
Columbia County, Oregon (June 22, 2023) – The Oregon State Police is investigating a deadly collision that killed Jason Ray Bennet, 34, on Tuesday morning in Columbia County.
The accident occurred on Highway 30 near milepost 41 at about 5:00 a.m. on June 20.
Police said Bennet of Clatskanie was heading eastbound in a brown Honda CR-V when he crossed the centerline for unknown reasons. The Honda crashed into a westbound white Chevrolet Silverado.
Bennet was declared dead at the accident location.
The Chevy driver, Gregory Alan Woodwall Jr., 50, of Deer Island, did not suffer injuries. He remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
