James Runge Dies After Buckeye Pedestrian Accident near 196th Avenue and Indian School Road

Buckeye, Arizona (July 27, 2023) – A man struck and killed by a semi-truck on Wednesday morning in Buckeye has been identified as 72-year-old James Runge.

According to the Arizona Family, the collision happened at around 9:30 a.m. on July 26 at the Fry’s near 196th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Per the report, Runge was in the parking lot of the busy grocery store when a semi-truck struck him.

Witnesses tried to help Runge before the emergency crews arrived. The crew conducted CPR on Runge and transported him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The big rig driver did not suffer injuries and remained at the accident location.

No other information regarding this crash was provided.
