Felipe Beltran-Salgado Killed in Homeland Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 near Amanda Avenue

Winchester, California (August 17, 2023) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has identified 34-year-old Felipe Beltran-Salgado of Pasadena as the male pedestrian killed in an accident early Wednesday morning in Winchester.

The deadly collision happened at about 2:30 a.m. on August 16 on State Route 74 near Amanda Avenue.

Police said Beltran-Salgado was walking on the street when a Freightliner operated by a 59-year-old Hemet man hit him.

Responding emergency crews rushed Felipe to Loma Linda Medical Center-Murrieta, where he succumbed while receiving treatment.
