Fresno County, California (August 22, 2023) – 35-year-old Daniel Reason has been identified as the bicyclist who died in a collision that happened on Monday in Fresno.
The fatal bicycle accident happened on Cedar Avenue near Jensen Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man had been riding a bicycle on a sidewalk near Calwa Elementary School when he made a left turn into the path of a big rig’s rear trailer tires.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the big rig stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.
