P.MarkShayaniBenedo Vasquez Killed in Car Accident on Highway 33 near Bass Avenue in Fresno
Fresno, California (October 4, 2022) – 22-year-old Benedo Alfaro Vasquez, of Mendota, was killed in a DUI car crash in Mendota on Monday morning.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 33 near Bass Avenue at around 3 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 27-year-old man from Mendota was driving a Chevy Equinox southbound when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla driven by another man from Vasquez.
Vasquez was killed in the accident, according to Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Chevy was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
