San Jacinto, California (December 19, 2022) – Arthur St. Clair, 35, of Norco, was killed after he was hit by an SUV while riding a scooter on Sunday night in San Jacinto.
The fatal crash happened on South San Jacinto Avenue near Midway Street at about 10:20 p.m.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said St. Clair was riding a scooter northbound on South San Jacinto Avenue when a Chevrolet Suburban hit his scooter.
Emergency crew responded to the crash and performed life-saving measures on St. Clair, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
No arrest was made.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
