Woman Killed, Man Injured in Hanford Head-On Collision on Highway 43 near Fargo Avenue

Hanford, California (December 19, 2022) – A 45-year-old woman was killed and her passenger injured in a head-on collision that happened on Monday morning in Hanford.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 43 near Fargo Avenue at around 5 a.m.

The woman was driving a Toyota when, for unknown reasons, she veered into an opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming big rig.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Armando Banuelos, 72, who was a passenger in the Toyota, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

More details about the crash were not immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
