P.MarkShayaniArnold Perez Dies in Moreno Valley Car Crash at Iris Avenue and Kitching Street
Moreno Valley, California (December 10, 2022) – Arnold Perez, 19, of Coachella, was killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Moreno Valley on Thursday night.
The fatal accident happened around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Iris Avenue and Kitching Street.
According to the authorities, Perez was driving a Toyota Sequoia through the intersection when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
Perez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Toyota was rushed to Riverside University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Two people in the Silverado were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident caused the closure of the intersection for several hours.
It’s not clear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
