Clovis Community College Professor Killed in Bicycle Accident on Watts Valley Road in Fresno

Fresno, California (October 4, 2022) – 51-year-old Adela Santana-Mullooly has been identified as the cyclist who was killed in a collision near Sanger on Sunday morning.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Watts Valley Road near Bull Run Lane at around 10:20 a.m.
Adela was riding her bicycle on Watts Valley Road when she was struck by a car driven by 47-year-old Johnson Chang. Officers say the driver was driving around a curve on the highway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and struck the bicyclist.
Adela, a teacher at both Fresno State and Clovis Community College, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the car pulled over following the crash and has been cooperating with investigators.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
