Westminster, California (February 8, 2023) – Three people are dead following a head-on collision that happened on Monday evening in Westminster.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened at around 1 p.m. on the 14500 block of Beach Boulevard.
A man in his 80s was driving a vehicle the wrong-way on the northbound lanes of the highway when he collided head-on with another vehicle.
The man and his female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 75-year-old woman driving the second car was trapped inside the car and was extricated before being transported to the hospital where she died on Wednesday.
The names of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
