3 Killed and 2 Injured in Head-On Collision on 80 Freeway near Richards Blvd in Davis

Davis, California (September 26, 2022) – Three people were killed and two others were injured in a car crash on Sunday morning in Davis.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 80 Freeway near Richards Boulevard at around 3:10 a.m.

An Infiniti was traveling eastbound on the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Hyundai.

The 31-year-old driver of the Infiniti, the 30-year-old driver of the Hyundai and a 27-year-old passenger of the Infiniti were killed in the crash.

Two passengers in the Hyundai were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
