Des Moines, Washington (April 6, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon in Des Moines.
According to the Des Moines Police Department, the accident happened in the 22000 block of Pacific Highway South around 4:40 p.m.
Two cars and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The northbound lanes of Pacific Highway South at South 220th Street were temporarily closed as officers examined the scene.
