1 Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 41 at Old Moro Road in Atascadero

San Luis Obispo, California (October 9, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision that happened in Atascadero on Saturday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 41 at Old Moro Road at around 11:45 a.m.

A vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 41 when it drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound car.

The driver of the first vehicle was killed in the accident

The second driver was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Sierra Vista hospital.

A third vehicle swerved to avoid a collision and crashed into a telephone pole. The driver was unhurt.
