VinsnowDriver Killed, Another Hospitalized after Eugene Car Crash on Clear Lake Road near Goodman Road
Eugene, Oregon (May 18, 2023) – A driver was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Eugene on Wednesday afternoon.
The fatal accident happened at around 12:13 p.m. on Clear Lake Road just west of Goodman Road.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office says a Pontiac sedan and two other vehicles were involved, but the events leading up to the crash were not immediately established.
One driver was trapped inside a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the third vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The other driver left the scene on foot, and was later picked by a white truck, the police said.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
