P.MarkShayani1 Killed, Child Critically Injured in Phelan Car Accident on Highway 138 near Lone Pine Canyon Road
Phelan, California (November 27, 2022) – One person was killed, and a child was airlifted to a trauma center following a two-vehicle collision that happened in Phelan on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 11:06 a.m. on Highway 138 between Lone Pine Canyon Road and Cajon Boulevard.
A 2000 Nissan Altima and a white Toyota Sequoia SUV were involved, but what led to the crash was not immediately determined.
San Bernardino County Fire responded to the crash and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
A child sustained severe injuries and was flown to the hospital, CHP said.
The Sequoia driver was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
No other information about the incident was provided.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
